Failure indeed - Schumer needs to go. He is either unable or unwilling to keep the party aligned at a crucial time. Noteworthy is that none of the 8 who voted to pass the budget are up for reelection ... a safety valve for Schumer to get this passed without risking Dem headcount.
We had a moment of unity in the elections last week, a momentum that Dems could never have dreamed of, and then they turned their backs on all the voters that came out in support—to protect our democracy, our healthcare, and our neighbors. This is a colossal failure of the Democratic leadership.
