The average SNAP benefit per month is $177 a person.

The average ACA benefit per month is up to $550 a person.

People want us to hold the line for a reason. This is not a matter of appealing to a base. It’s about people’s lives.

And working people want leaders whose word means something to them.

The GOP stops getting yelled at for a shutdown over Thanksgiving and Christmas holidays.

There will be a vote in the future on extending ACA subsidies. That vote will be filibusterable. Meaning it will with 100% certainty fail.

No more illegal reductions in force until Jan 30

So. Nothing. At all.

I will say, I DO agree with him that we are terrible at getting out of the lab and engaging with the public and meeting people where they are with humility. This is a culture change we need to facilitate! BUT! Fine! Put your money where your mouth is @thedailyshow.com and platform science activists!

Dems backed Trump into a corner where he’s advocating for starving Americans and hemorrhaging support. If they vote to let him off the hook in exchange for nothing it’s a cataclysmic failure. I know people are in pain but insulating Republicans from political consequences is not the answer.

This is because Intuit, Inc. gave Donald Trump $1,000,000 for his "inauguration." Intuit owns Turbo Tax, which makes money off charging taxpayers to file their returns.

The corruption is rampant and in plain sight.

I truly do not understand how so many people can be indifferent to what is happening with SNAP —if they get stamps or not.

The trump govt. cruelty is simply terrifying !

Listen to these working Americans' heartbreaking tales of not knowing where their next meal will come from if SNAP is cut off.
