It's great to have presidents talking about the need for a balanced budget, but Republicans are backing a plan that will increase borrowing.
Trump promised a balanced budget. Don't believe it.
In light of one of the more outlandish claims that President Donald Trump made during Tuesday night's joint address to Congress, an important reminder:

We need to continue to hold MT accountable for their unethical and unscientific wolf hunt. A majority of Montanans don't hunt wolves, so why is MT FWP managing wolves like they do?

I heard my friend Dan here give a remarkable brief talk about this last month. Thankfully, he’s written it up at length to share.
In light of everything happening, I wrote about how the KKK in the 1920s felt unstoppable, about the people that fought against them anyway, and about how fascism always fails. dansinker.com/posts/202…

Monday marks three years since Russia's unprovoked invasion of Ukraine. The U.S. has been Ukraine's decisive ally. Now, President Trump seems to be turning his back — falsely calling Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy a dictator and talking peace with Russia.

Richard Nixon—yes, Nixon—signed some of the strongest conservation laws in U.S. history. Not out of love for the wild, but because the public demanded it. Today’s leaders gut those same protections while pretending to care. #presidentsday

Scenes like this wouldn’t be possible without whistleblowers coming forward about Elon Musk’s authoritarian takeover. Reminder that if you’re a public servant wishing to report fraud, waste, or abuse at a federal agency, you can do so on my website:

No one listens to me about installing trap doors in the floor. It's been deemed constitutionally permissible by several scholars.
Republicans ran into the room to SHEILD Elon Musk from having to come and speak to Congress. They want their billionaire takeover done behind closed doors. The people deserve transparency. No one elected Elon Musk.
I’m in Oversight Committee right now. Ranking Member Connolly just called for a vote to subpoena Elon Musk. Republicans out-number us on this committee, but many aren’t in the room. We’ll see who wins this vote. We deserve transparency and answers.

Not to get all political on you but actually I do think you should be talking to people you know about this
cool how Project 2025 went viral during the election, we were told Trump disavowed it and wouldn't do it, he got elected and started implementing it immediately and now we're being told "well this is what people voted for"

they very explicitly did not
The people now in charge of the Office of Personnel Management apparently don’t know how to scrub PDF metadata, and have exposed the original authors of the guidance they’re publishing. Two, Noah Peters and James Sherk, have links to the Heritage Foundation and Project 2025.

Pete Hegseth admitted to the Senate that he paid $50,000 (!!!) to silence a "Jane Doe" who accused him of rape.

But at his hearing last week, he said he was “falsely accused."

More questions than answers. We can't rush his vote and trust him with our national security.
