National Guardsmen now stationed outside our DC building confirmed that the only thing they can do if they witness a crime is call 911. The have no more authority than my office mate to intervene. Despite the handcuffs, they can't make arrests. They are very expensive mall cops.

Y’all ever suddenly become self aware mid-weird and think “Wow, I’m glad no one was around to hear that!” Sometimes, you’re wrong and your mother is laughing so hard she can’t make noise just outside the room bc she heard, out of nowhere, her adult child sing “You and me goin’ shittin’ in the dark-“
There’s a baby in this doctor’s waiting room and he thinks his shoes are the funniest thing ever. He keeps grabbing his toes and cackling. I don’t get the joke but he’s having a great time and we’re all enjoying that.

Spent nearly the entire day in the sun and dirt getting the first bits of my garden prepped and now everything is going to be okay. I am a lizard and that’s just fine.

Nobody tells you that when you look back over the sixteen year life of your recently passed pet, one of your proudest accomplishments will be the exceptional nickname creep. Riley became Mojo Dojo Casa House and I’m not sure it’s possible to be prouder.
