Sunrises may be very late on December mornings this far north, but they certainly have their moments.

Donald Trump is way less popular than he wants you to believe.

And you are significantly more powerful than he wants you to think.

In a moment like this, when tensions are high, part of the job of the president is to remind us of the ties that bind us together.

This administration is made up of the worst and cruelest people. I hate them all.
Rubio terminated 5800 USAID contracts – more than 90% of its foreign aid programs – in defiance of the courts.

Here’s a list of just some of the lifesaving awards that were terminated. Nearly all were Congressionally mandated. They’ve saved millions of lives. 🧵

We worked for months with USAID to build an $85,000,000 project to end TB in two regions of the Philippines.

The project is funded by private money, the Philippine government, and matching USAID funds.

It could provide a blueprint for eliminating TB worldwide--except it's...not happening.

A photo of the track as it leaves the forest and joins the coast road... looking all fairy grotto. However, once it freezes solid, the steep gradient makes it almost impossible for 2WD cars to get traction. I've stopped at the top before and slid backwards all the way to the bottom. (Hence JLR 4x4).

Highlands life skills. Noted.
The problem with stopping your car to take a photo round here is that sheep can't differentiate between cars and invariably plod down off the hill thinking you're a farmer with food:

Nothing like as bad here as in other parts, but we're riding out the storm. The windows (including the tops) are not coated in rain, it's spray from the sea.

I don't use an app that keeps surveillance data on my podcast activities, but rest assured, there's a nice infographic in my mind that says, "You listened to all of 99% Invisible, and did an inordinate amount of talking back to Roman and Elliott during the Power Broker episodes, weirdly!"
If your podcast app says you listened to a lot of @99pi.org this year, share it! I'd love to see it and repost
