A little piece of knowledge that touched me years ago when I first heard about it: In Japan, people who arrive early to work park further away from the entrance so that those who arrive later can arrive on time.

Do retired teachers and firefighters a favor. Call your Senator and ask for this bill to come forward and to pass it. Retirees like me have reduced social security, even though we got contributed to social security. Ask Chuck Schumer to bring this to the floor. It would be a help to many of us.

I concur! The Senate should be in session every day, all day, getting as much done as possible. (Disclaimer: I want the judges, but I'm also pushing for the Social Security Fairness Act, which has 63 Senate sponsors & passed the House 327-75. It's a slam dunk & he needs to bring it to the floor.)
