This is totally my personal opinion, but I suspect that this has something to do with the Trump Regime’s stance on Afghani nationals who served with Americans during the war. Trump wants to send these people back to Afghanistan where they face the most horrific sort of death from the Taliban.

Australia has built so much solar capacity that the government has directed utilities to simply give away power for free for three hours each day. Wholesale prices go negative at that point, anyway, because so much excess power is being generated. Bring on the home batteries!
