After I got my doctorate in health admin, I could have taken a cushy job atop a corporate health firm & gotten rich off denying claims, but instead, I chose a low-paying civil service job to help care for Veterans & the Military. So don't give me that "he was only doing his job" crap.

I've read a lot of takes about the United Healthcare shooter and the publics reaction. It's hard not to emerge with the distinct impression that it's OK to kill for profit but not vengeance.
