Beautiful work by Daisy Miller at the City & Guilds of London Art School MA Show, some subtle notes on the rural and nostalgia.

Kudos to Professor Kornbluh. Last year, I translated some excerpts from this fantastic book for my course on contemporary art and its discontents. We read Kornbluh (immediacy), Kunst (politics/care), Pfaller (form/truth), McGowan (identity)... Younglings were absolutely delighted.
first person dominates in the anglo novel in the 21st century, a radical change from the previous 300 years of the novel form. for an explanation of this historical mutation and the ideology around it, check out chapter 3! (happy to send a copy to anyone)

"L'Or des Images. Art - Monnaie - Capital" (2013), by Marxist scholar Isabelle Garo. A beautiful, well-written book that should soon be available in Spanish, fingers crossed. (Why is it not available in English yet?!). The section criticising post/neo-operaismo is some serious, sharp stuff.

Muy recomendado "Capitalism Hates You. Marxism and the New Horror Film", de @joshuagooch.bsky.social; especialmente encantado con la lectura que hace del "new Black Horror": un ejercicio de pensamiento dialéctico de gran nivel, y preciso para un libro de análisis marxista. Kudos!

Marxist theory is not family research. The progressive character of art, its contribution to struggle for liberation cannot be measured by the artists' origins. Neither by the presence /absence of the oppressed class in their works. The criteria are given only in the work itself as a whole.
