lol. Well that's quite the persuasive argument there.
The problem isn't that we have senators over 65. The problem is we still have a fucking Senate. Filling it with Millennials and GenZ isn't going to fix it.

This is stupid. Both of my senators are over 65, and have not only been extremely vocal resisting everything Trump and the GOP do, but are actively _working_ against them, frequently behind the scenes, e.g., subpoenaing Epstein's funders. It's not age; it's about being complicit and out-of-touch.

Have you reached out to Maxine Dexter's office to see if they have any intel? If so many Ds are voting to kill the industry, there has to be lobbyist money behind the effort.

There was a big push for that (which my office supported), especially among cannabis and hops growers (fear of x-contamination,) but it hadn't resolved by the time my boss retired. Glad to see it got worked out, but so sorry this is happening. So why did CA and WA Dems vote for it?

Do you use clones, or are your plants open pollinating? When I worked on Measure 91 in the OR legislature in 2015-17, there was a lot of concern about the latter, and lots of $ behind those concerns.

Good, short thread on House/Senate procedure: bsky.app/profile/stem...
Folks, we need to have a little Civics #101 chat, because apparently the media no longer seems fit to explain to you whats happening.
So quick review:
The House passed a clean CR.
The senate has not passed anything.

In all of our 30 year marriage, my lovely, nerdy spouse has never cared about football. Until this year. Every Saturday, he’ll catch at least part of an Oregon game. Between the creeping fascism and health concerns of our kids, he needs a distraction. I’m all for it.

I’ve come across a lot of material in ME, NH, and MBC court, church, legislative, and personal records on the subject from the Maine Indian Wars, especially Father Rale’s/Dummer’s war. Of course, a lot of the holy war rhetoric was camouflage for land speculation on the frontier.

I'll never give them another dime. If I could find my law school diploma, I'd mail it back (I never unpacked it when we moved.)
