Running away from the page every time I can’t immediately think of my next sentence. I try to justify it by saying I’m letting the words percolate but really I’m just giving up even for a few minutes

Author problems: Struggling to write an emotional scene because you identify too hard with it and *really* want to get the point across
Literally just wrote myself a post-it memo that says “not everything needs to be spelled out!”

Neurodivergent friendship is a funny thing. You can find your people and have amazing connections with them, but be too overwhelmed with life to stay in touch, but miss them dearly and feel lonely, but be too burnt out to even send a text. 😩

I figured out why I die inside every time I hear even a clip of many English anime dubs… everything just sounds so forced to me. Like every line is the VA announcing “I’m acting!”
Sometimes they’re not even working within their vocal range and it feels like someone else would be better for the part

Small choices can have a big impact. I wore my they/them pin to a work orientation and another new hire said it made him feel instantly safe and welcome, not just bc of me but bc of our higher-ups’ (nonexistent) reaction and warmth

I love how the version of "abuses" we would do is all like "holy shit they'll give everyone rights."
Johnson: "If they had no filibuster, they would pack the SCOTUS. You'd go from 9 to 17 or however many liberals they could pack. You would make DC & Puerto Rico into states, which would give 4 additional Democrat senators & make us a permanent minority. You'd see massive restrictions of 2A rights"

I love Vermont and how no institution follows it’s advertised policies. Like this venue whose website says they’ll open the theater 30 minutes before showtime but has been letting us in since probably 50 minutes before
