The White House getting gutted for a one-man vanity project that benefits no one but said man, right after 7 million people said “please fuck off,” is such immaculate symbolism it’s making my head spin.

Honestly, you really could not make it up at this point.

Teesside’s freeport, initiated in 2021 under Rishi Sunak, has cost £560 million far exceeding the standard £25 million allocation (22 times the standard £25m).
90% profits go to the private sector.
This clearly shows the UK model of State aid post-Brexit is utterly corrupt.

Some good news.

London is meeting legal limits for toxic NO2 pollution for the first time – almost 200 years earlier than predicted – following the Mayor’s "world leading air pollution policies," City Hall announces.

The Ultra Low Emissions Zone - and similar policies - really do work.

And they will lose in 2029.

Step 1: Say something racist.
Step 2: Get called racist.
Step 3: Cry victim, shout “cancel culture,” and watch the media apologise to you.

That’s the strategy - and it's nonsense.

The unworkability of Reform's immigration plans is a feature not a bug.

It guarantees that other parties will keep them in the spotlight by trying to tear holes in them.

Meanwhile the people who don't do nuance will feel even more vindicated at their choice of disrupter party.

They never, ever mention WHY Energy is unaffordable, or housing, or the NHS, or Adult Social Care, or Child Social Care.

Because the problem is always the same, billionaires sucking billions out of the system in 'profit' into their tax havens.

As you cheer for him caging brown ice cream men & kids, he invades DC to cover a child sex trafficking ring and trashes the constitution to cling to power.

He laughs.

People who accuse me of being overly down on Labour are very wide of the mark.

I suspect none of them monitor what Labour are actually saying like I do, because Labour are active on Twitter, and in opinion pieces in the Sun, Express, Telegraph, Daily Mail etc. - none of which their supporters read.
Starmer's Twitter account is wall-to-wall immigrant bashing, and has been for weeks.

You need to know these things if you're living in the Bluesky bubble and think everything's normal with Labour.

How do you ensure a nation fails to cope with drought? Privatise its water system.

Almost everyone wants our water renationalised. Almost everyone, that is, except the government.
