For the past six months I have been in serious mental crisis. It’s been bad—the worst it’s been in many years. Slowly but surely I have begun seeing a light at the end of the tunnel. Today I took a big step and did something I’ve talked about for years, but have never had the nerve to do:

The Id wants me to type out all my notes so I can easily organize my thoughts and get this first draft started. The Ego tells me I’m a no-talent fraud, and I should play RDR2 instead. My poor mental health says not to do any of that, and watch my comfort show instead: Star Trek TNG.
