Rand Paul was the only Republican senator not invited to Trump’s luncheon at his new Rose Garden Club today. He said he had lunch with Thomas Massie instead. bsky.app/profile/blue...
Rand Paul: There is no fentanyl made in Venezuela. Not just a little bit, there's none being made... These are outboard boats that, in order for them to get to Miami, would have to stop and refuel 20 times... We don't just summarily execute people.

My signal is annabower.24 if any other United States Attorneys want to text me!
EXCLUSIVE: One Saturday afternoon in October, my phone lit up with a notification.

I glanced down at the message.

“Anna, Lindsey Halligan here,” it began.

So began my text exchange with the woman who is prosecuting the president's perceived political enemies.

The SFPD will keep its policy limiting pretext traffic stops that disproportionately target people of color — a judge this week dismissed a police union lawsuit attempting to undo it.

JUST IN: San Francisco police officers were arresting dozens of people they had encircled on Monday night, following an earlier rally in which as many as 2,000 people marched through the Mission District to protest immigration deportations.

Forty arrests. Zero charges filed.

This SFPD drug raid was a dud.

But not on social media.

Forty arrests, zero charges: S.F. police raid was a dud. But not on social media.
Questions remain about both the efficacy and legality of an SFPD raid in which 40 people were arrested but none have yet been charged

Oh.
My.
F***ING.
GOD.

The WSJ is blaming Krasner for the fact that Philly’s homicide rates are down “only” ~40%.

Gun robbery down ~35%, car theft down ~30%. Basically EVERYTHING down.

So now? It’s just not down ENOUGH.

“Tough on crime” can NEVER be wrong. Never. And reform NEVER right.

1. In April 2024, California raised the minimum wage for fast food chains to $20/hour

The industry claimed it would be devastating & require significant job cuts and prices increases

Here is what really happened: workers got a raise, prices went modestly, and the industry continued to add jobs
What really happened after California raised its minimum wage to $20 for fast food workers
What would happen to the fast food industry if it had to pay its workers something closer to a living wage?
