For the nth time, what the Marxist material analysis does is let you understand the root cause of problems so that you can fix them instead of just flailing around between crises, wondering how it all went wrong, and trying the same solution over in hopes that it will work this time

one upside to being into combat sports / sports in general and moderately reflective about it is being completely immune to political messages of the form "we can't do X because the other side would respond to that"
It’s like saying “desegregation now!” was a bad catch phrase. Well yeah it was scary to a lot of people and faced a lot of resistance and backlash, and even moderates were initially freaked out by the demand to reorder their society, does that make the demand wrong *or* ineffective? Nope nope nope.

ICE threatening charges against people for asking supposed officers to show their badges is weakness. Not succeeding where they hoped to, left relying on threats that likely won’t go anywhere in court (harassment isn’t nothing, but it’s limited).

It’s a sign to resist their abuses more, not less.

Tariffs are not the end of neoliberalism, because reducing tariffs was never neoliberal. "Free trade" in the neoliberal era consisted of enforcing US-based intellectual property rights in foreign jurisdictions, and abrogating foreign governments' regulatory power.
