Milwaukee policy analyst. Curious, but not THAT curious.
It's amazing how...banal? the offices of some of the highest-ranking US officials are. Sure, this is a big office, but does it say "Secretary of Defense"?

And when you account for the massive increase in construction costs during the pandemic, the story looks even worse. We estimate that there was no consequential increase in spending on bridges, rail transit, or transit in general. Even spending on highway pavement has barely increased.

Also talk about an unhelpful Y-axis

I was actually agreeing with you. The idea that fully 8 percent of households in 2005 had at least twice as many bedrooms as people suggests a lack of equity in the distribution of housing

Those numbers are crazy. I shudder at what more recent data may suggest

Several of them blurbed the report and I’d bet money the rest would endorse the project even if they don’t endorse every word of the product.

Maybe not in Queens, but Democrats don’t have to immediately worry about losing Queens.

There is credible reporting that birth tourism is a thing and it makes people mad. It's a real loophole that reasonable people can debate closing.

Right, the Democratic Party ought to listen to *checks notes* DuffSovietUnion on a winning electoral strategy.
October 27, 2025 at 8:27 PM
It's a democracy, J. Believe it or not people are allowed to express opinions about how the party should operate without their motivations and commitment to liberal values being impugned.
October 27, 2025 at 6:06 PM
Ahh yes, people with lots and lots invested in making the Democratic Party viable in state and national elections SHOULD make you suspicious.
October 27, 2025 at 6:00 PM
Yes, they are literally adding credibility to this report without endorsing it.
