If Congress passes cuts to Medicaid, you can expect your ED wait time to increase. Per the NYT, roughly 1 in 3 people in my area are on Medicaid. Cuts to Medicaid will reduce use of preventative care and result in a greater burden on hospitals in an area already experiencing a healthcare shortage.
