“Little Amélie, or The Character of Rain” was really good! I like when animation studios follow an artistic vision instead of chasing trends.
I’m also realizing I’m easily won over by deep moments that aren’t immediately undercut by a joke.

Power Rangers is an interesting microcosm of that phenomenon where long-running franchises experience a few misfires and regress to nostalgia bait for adults at the expense of new fans and a future anyone might actually want.

Power Rangers is an interesting microcosm of that phenomenon where long-running franchises experience a few misfires and regress to nostalgia bait for adults at the expense of new fans and a future anyone might actually want.

Roughly 125 trick-or-treaters before I ran out of Takis and slime and had to switch to the fruit snacks and little packs of cookies I put in my lunch bag for work.
I wasn’t going to hand over my Red Bull, so I’m back inside.

Okay, so based on my research, Tom Jung created the original Star Wars poster (first below).
The Hildebrandt's created the UK variant.
A Japanese variant was painted by Seito.
And the Marvel cover was Rick Hoberg and Dave Cockrum.
Jung did so good, they had everyone just do what he did. Legend.

I’ve already put a lot of effort into a Minecraft theme for my table this year, but next time my neighborhood brings back Trunk or Treat, it’s 100% TMNT with me as Splinter. I love that idea.

With Drew Struzan’s passing, I was thinking about how may Muppet posters I’ve owned throughout my life.
And I actually think the Muppets from Space poster had the longest tenure on my wall, simply because I had it all through high school and college before mold claimed it.
Underrated Muppet movie.

The facial composition of Michael's Zeb reminds me of a puppet I designed in 2010 based on Chewbacca concept art, for a Star Warsy kids camp.
Ultimately, what was built was more like if The Bumble was an MMPR monster. It made kids pee in terror. True story.
Lesson: Kids are scared of a LOT.

I hope the high end figures of Okarun come with lots of different disheveled hair styles. Seems to be a running thing that he’s just never going to get back to normal for any meaningful amount of time.
