Also worth noting that in 2021 Curtis Silva got 27 percent of the vote. For those keeping score at home, that's a 20 percent drop in the vote share for Republicans from 2021 to 2025, in what was already one of the most D-leaning cities in the country.

corollary to that is it can be very strong as a teacher for certain specific tasks. i'm taking a basic coding class and Claude is a godsend as a tutor/troubleshooter. but one meta difficulty highlighted by thread is keeping up with things ai can/can't do well almost a job in itself.

This exchange encapsulating why I've found the GenAI rollout frustrating. The tools are not inherently bad. They have many real use cases! But seems increasingly likely they won't have enough general utility (measured in the form of revenue) to sustain the enormous capital spend we're seeing.
