We should. We have shown that we are totally undeserving of it. Most of the country doesn't have the values it stands for.
France is calling for the US to return the Statue of Liberty because the US no longer represents the values that led France to offer the statue.

I gotta believe the 260 +/- elected House/Senate GOP members would be afraid the 64 million Gen X'er in this country would hunt then down if they take away Social Security.
I certainly wouldn't myself, but I'm putting it out there.
