Over 45 members of DSG’s Climate Intervention Network gathered in Helsinki for two days of learning and connection. The interdisciplinary group engaged in futures-thinking workshops, discussed research’s governance and decolonization, and also attended Operaatio Arktis’ ATLAS25. Enjoy some photos!

I’ve never been shy nor ashamed of the fact that the core of my research is around SRM. I think there is merit in research: if we can show there are ways to ameliorate current and future climate change, we should know. If there aren’t, or if SRM could be used to make things worse, we should know.

More seriously though, it's perhaps a good thing that more scientists are thinking about climate interventions.
Ultimately, the more people get involved, the better our collective answer to whether or not we should intervene will be.
However, we have to be rigorous in our assessments.
