This bunch of clowns threw me the best 50th birthday party I'm likely to ever have. So much good food, hilarious gaming, and great friends. <3

Never too old to play in the snow. Got out for a ~16km hike along the Cowichan River, always stunning no matter what the season.

Car Wars (Steve Jackson Games), then red box D&D.
I have fond memories of Car Wars but no longer play. I'm still playing and DM'ing D&D (5e), and converting for VTTs.
Hey #ttrpg folks! A couple quick poll-like questions for you:

- What were the first two ttrpgs you played?
- Do you remember either of these games fondly? Do you still play them? Have you outgrown them?

Feel free to reply here or quote post to spread the poll!

Not the best views on today's hike, but still beats a day at work.

My latest conversion for @fantasygroundsvtt.bsky.social just in time for Christmas, this one looks like a lot of fun. Might run it for my group over the holidays (no peeking if you're one of them!) Thanks @jeffstevensgames.bsky.social for always providing quality content.

My kid is pretty awesome, but on the rare occasion they replace the toilet paper roll, they do it backwards. When confronted, they explain that cats are less likely to unroll it. We do not own a cat.

Sooke Hills hike today. So many trees down from the BOMB CYCLONE last week. Especially sad to see a fallen arbutus.

Back from another trip to the mountains, and ready for the next one. Ridge trail to Beverly Lake from 5040 Peak, with Nahmint in the background.
