Confession: I often forget and only like after replying.
IN THIS HOUSE WE

- REPLY like it's IMPROV
- hold our beliefs LOOSELY
- be FRIENDLY, AMBITIOUS NERDS
- FLIRT with ABANDON
- MUTE POLITICAL REPOSTS
- AMPLIFY the GOOD
- DISTRUST UNHAPPY INTELLIGENCE

and always ALWAYS like before replying

Okay, here it is...
The Graph Update you've been waiting for: CLUSTERS!
Pruned one-off connections, hellthread interactions (mostly) present.

Connections: 166k -> 66k
Interactions: 326k -> 247k
Clusters are designated using Louvain Community Detection.

One of the most shocking things has been how *good* the tpot norm of liking every reply makes conversation. I would never have believed it.

Every forum with any kind of group has to speedrun the culture gauntlet.

I want to help but I also want to just keep checking in until it’s over.

I don’t really understand the underlying technology of Bluesky, but I thought part of the concept was that it’s a semi-decentralized protocol. Is there such a thing as fundamentally denying access to some person?

This is a subcategory of the explanation that morality is real, and every bad thing results from a lack of knowledge about why the better thing would indeed by better.

it seems kinda arrogant to assume that if someone’s being a belligerent asshole on social media it’s because they’re in some kind of pain, but it’s startling how often this turns out to be true
