OOOF. Bad form from the Senator.
Even if you feel this way, why would you say this out loud???
John Fetterman when asked about timing of vote that will cost millions health care and food on the table, destroy industries and jobs:

"Oh my God, I just want to go home... I've missed our entire trip to to the beach."

It is noon on a Monday.

Two bites at the Apple. Can’t blame Darche for not landing Hagens. Once it got to Boston, he wasn’t getting past them. Takes two to Tango. Barry and Briere did us no favors. #Isles
On the Islanders: Elliotte says they made 2 trade offers at the draft and potentially 3. They offered both 1sts from Montreal to Nashville and Boston and he thinks Philadelphia as well. #Isles #GoHabsGo #Smashville #NHLBruins #LetsGoFlyers #NHL #NHLDraft2025

If you still have an account on the platform that shall not be named, I encourage everyone to send a tweet to the #Isles social media director, Tyler Brosious (@Tyler_Brosh), and encourage him to get the team to join @bsky.app! Let’s put some pressure on the Islanders to come where the sky is bluer!

Yup
one thing that's worth pointing out about the current wave of constituent fury at Republican town halls: the reason you're primarily seeing those viral moments in ruby red districts is because every Republican whose district is even remotely competitive is actively hiding from their constituents

this is incredible stuff. most state DOTs would spend tens of billions on highway expansions to try and see numbers like this (that wouldn’t even pan out anyway thanks to induced demand lol)

Call me crazy, but I think Justin Sun, a Chinese national being prosecuted for fraud by the SEC, sending Trump $18 million should be a bigger story

The direct enrichment of Trump by a foreign national weeks before he takes office has merited no coverage in the NYT or Washington Post
A Chinese national, charged with fraud by the SEC, just sent Donald Trump $18 million
Chinese Crypto entrepreneur Justin Sun paid $6.2 million for a banana — sold by Sotheby's as conceptual art — and then ate it last Friday.

Shocking. (Not really)
In his 2011 book, Ron DeSantis waxed apocalyptic about politicians like Jay Rockefeller who supposedly wanted to "shut down news organizations." Not only has DeSantis not said a peep about the Trump administration's statements, he was also lying about what Rockefeller said.

Not the worst idea.
It’s imperative that the Left start planting conspiracy theories now about JD Vance plotting against Trump so that when a routine coronary sends him to the big McDonald’s in the sky there’s a mob of deranged MAGA supporters dragging JD out the naval observatory convinced he was behind it

Man I hope those lawyers do some controlled leaks.
Nixon did this (actually, less, it seems). It was the Saturday Night Massacre. It was a key step in the House deciding to impeach him, which he avoided only by resigning. (Wrote about it before the election - goodpoliticsbadpolitics.substack.com/p/trump-prom...).
Breaking news: President-elect Donald Trump plans to fire the entire team that worked with special counsel Jack Smith to pursue two federal prosecutions against the former president, according to two individuals close to Trump’s transition.

Finally moved BlueSky to my home row on my iPhone. Need to get away from the burning hulk of Twitter. Still at a loss on politics. Just don’t understand anymore.

They’re going to get rubber stamped though
Four of Donald Trump’s nominees are especially dangerous to the security of the United States and to the well-being of its people, @radiofreetom.bsky.social argues in The Atlantic Daily. “The Senate must turn back these nominations, and do so en bloc.”
The Senate Exists for a Reason
These four Trump picks should be stopped.
