On Valentine's Day, a student asked the swordmaster:
"What shall I give my beloved?"

"A sword. It shows you trust them, and trust their abilities."

Satisfied, the student left. Another student asked: "I am single, what shall I do?"

The swordmaster thought. "Buy yourself a sword. You deserve it."

The Human ambassador bowed, hands behind their back.

The Xturi envoy extended a big, soft paw. "I was told Humans greet with touch?"

"Are Xturi comfortable being touched?"

The Xturi's large, round eyes opened wide. Their thick, silky fur rippled as they laughed.
"We relish touch!"

"Excellent!"

Today is Grace Hopper Day! As a pioneer in computer science, Grace Hopper showed us that nothing is impossible with determination and creativity.

What can we do today to inspire the next generation of innovators like Grace Hopper?

I want men in science to think about this. Think about the biases you have grown up with so much you're probably not even aware you have them. 🧪 #WomenInSTEM
What surprised me the most was how *early* these divergences by STEM fields emerge.

By age 6, kids already see girls as worse at computer science and engineering. But...there's no early male bias for math. (I made this graph for a broader audience).

Six-year-olds have quite nuanced beliefs!

One thing that micro-transactions in video games have proven irrefutably is that men also want to spend a bunch of money on little outfits, and society had failed them in finding a way to express it.

The existence of shortbread implies the existence of longbre- oh wait that's a baguette isn't it? That's just a baguette.
