One nice detail that can easily be lost in this graph - even right wingers trust the BBC more than the right wing tabloids
Here’s the same data, but with trust broken down by political views (circles are trust among people on the left, +s the right).
It’s not just that the BBC is widely consumed — it also has solid trust on both left & right, whereas trust in the biggest US media brands is hugely polarised.

The BBC is institutionally biased, just not in the way its right-wing critics think. Right-wing Tories, especially Robbie Gibb, control all the key levers of editorial and institutional power.

I’m sure what GBnews meant to say was that the chronically underfunded prison service has had to recruit overseas staff as no one wants to sign up to serve in dangerously under-resourced and under-trained prison teams and once the Visa earning threshold goes up, those who came will piss off too. No?

So glad I’ve stayed off social media since last night. The racist hysteria from the usual right wing idiots, commenting without any information about things they know nothing in order to perpetuate and spread their prejudices. Social media is a fucking cesspit of hate.

This is farcical. Katie Lam didn't speak "imprecisely". She accurately stated the Conservative party's existing policy, which they tried to pass as a Bill in Parliament earlier this year, and which Badenoch's spokesman defended himself just last week.

Utterly fantastic mid-90s update of the Yello classic. A massive Digweed favourite in 1994. Mark Picciotti on the mix 😍

It is literally a crime against music that Oasis are raking in tens of millions for their glorified karaoke sessions when Suede and Saint Etienne have put out stunning new albums that will barely make anything in comparison 😠

Fuck me, the new Suede album is a bit bloody good isn’t it? Then again, the last 3/4 have been pretty damn good. Antidepressants is a cut above though.
Love that they just keep doing their thing, producing albums far better than many other artists living of past glories *cough*.
