A small good thing in these difficult times.

The always-impressive Aisling Fairweather treated us to some particularly delicious data in lab meeting today #BakeYourData #NeighbourLabelling
A tasty cheese and veg quiche decorated with a FACS plot. Axis are labelled 530 and 610 using courgettes, the axis are asparagus spears, the data is presented as chopped red pepper (610+ cells) and chopped courgette (530+ cells) and the gate is drawn using rosemary leaves. It is marvellous. The same data is represented ina more conventional format in the adjacent photo. A FACS plot. Axis are labelled 530 and 610 . The data shows that 74.6% of cells are expressing mCherry (610+). The same data is represented in the form of a vegetable quiche in the neighbouring photo.

Hello!

My lab is interested in understanding how healthy mammalian cells sense and react to mutant neighbours.

We do this by developing and using engineering biology tools to identify and manipulate neighbours of mutant cells.

We also love taking colourful microscopy pictures!
