Our paper “To the Best of Knowledge and Belief: On Eventually Consistent Access Control” is now available as CC-BY: dl.acm.org/doi/10.1145/... At the example of
@matrix.org, we showed traditional conceptualizations of access control as insufficient, and present eventual consistency as alternative.

Some of us wont touch proprietary tools like WhatsApp supporting the massive monsters like Meta.

On one hand people recognise the harm of such tech monsters but with the other, often in ignorance, they continue with their products.

We need something like more entities hosting their own Matrix.

☁️The recent AWS outage showed how fragile “cloud-based security” can be.

When one datacenter faltered, global communication tools — including Signal — went dark 🌑

🕸️Matrix-based messaging systems kept running because they don’t rely on a single provider.
