Wanted to Open That Trapdoor. Didn't. There was something down there...😯
The console thingie looks kinda pretty. But it's also kinda, um, *really* rubbish unfortunately😅
I dunno. It depends on the price I suppose, & if you haven't got a pc really. But if you do, it'll probably be cheaper & more TV friendly to just buy an Nvidia shield and stream games from your main pc🤷

I quite like how the reflections have given him a sort of halo actually. That's a nice touch😅
November 12, 2025 at 9:47 PM
I still live in hopes😅

But no, if it's the same people I like the stuff they've all variously worked on so I'm sure Dispatch will be very much my thing.
November 12, 2025 at 9:21 PM
Oh! I didn't realise it was made by the people nominally making Schrödinger's The Wolf Among Us. I'll add it to my list then🙂
November 12, 2025 at 9:07 PM
Speaking of which, do you keep a secret supply of gin miniatures sewn into your bra to avoid having to share them with people?😅
November 12, 2025 at 8:56 PM
I need those teo for breakfast. Obviously.

OK, long story, but it's kinda like...
𝗤𝘂𝗶-𝗚𝗼𝗻: 𝘛𝘩𝘦 𝘵𝘳𝘪𝘤𝘬 𝘪𝘴 𝘵𝘰 𝘯𝘦𝘢𝘵𝘭𝘺 𝘭𝘰𝘱 𝘵𝘩𝘦 𝘵𝘰𝘱 𝘰𝘧𝘧 𝘴𝘰 𝘺𝘰𝘶 𝘤𝘢𝘯 𝘥𝘪𝘱 𝘺𝘰𝘶𝘳 𝘵𝘰𝘢𝘴𝘵 𝘪𝘯 𝘵𝘩𝘦 𝘳𝘶𝘯𝘯𝘺 𝘣𝘪𝘵𝘴.

𝙊𝙗𝙞-𝙒𝙖𝙣: 𝘞𝘦'𝘳𝘦 𝘵𝘢𝘭𝘬𝘪𝘯𝘨 𝘢𝘣𝘰𝘶𝘵 𝘦𝘨𝘨𝘴 𝘩𝘦𝘳𝘦, 𝘳𝘪𝘨𝘩𝘵 𝘔𝘢𝘴𝘵𝘦𝘳?
.
.
𝘌𝘨𝘨𝘴..?😳

Also that girl who'd been low key following us those weeks, and suddenly piped up wanting to know if we were bestest friends yet. And you saying we were getting on well, and you hoped I would let you out of the cellar for an hour soon😂
November 12, 2025 at 3:24 PM
Not really. I mean, it didn't work. She still ate the other three's food when she came in, in something resembling the Warner Bros Tasmanian Devil in motion😅
November 12, 2025 at 1:34 PM
I mean I would. But I'd be thinking of Atari ST🫦

I put her on a diet, and spent an instructive half hour watching her with binoculars at one point. I have never seen such a stark example of rapid fire, apex predation😳

18 is a respectable retirement age for pottering about the garden. Well done frips. Dignity, or a valiant approximation of such.
November 12, 2025 at 12:31 PM
It was quite uncannily familiar😅

This would have been way back during the first couple of weeks we met.
You know - back when you were half convinced I'd fed a bunch of your stuff into an AI, to get it to generate exactly the "right" kind of replies tailored for you😂🤣
November 12, 2025 at 12:27 PM
Oh, I remember you pointing me at this! That and your Ultima 7 piece🙂 I had the oddest feeling of deja vu reading them both, like "I don't remember writing these, 𝘣𝘶𝘵..."

Not necessarily the writing style, but all the stuff about childhood, and what you could *be* in these magical new worlds🥰
November 12, 2025 at 12:27 PM
To be fair, we have to contend with examples like this😅

How are the frips taking to wilderness life? In the noughties I transplanted my lifelong town fuzzball to fields & farmlands around Holmfirth.
After some wide-eyed bamboozlement she went nuts & absolutely DECIMATED the local rodent population. Filled out to a furry beachball shape in about 3 months😅

I did another prototype with an overarching puzzle woven into it BTW. But of everyone who played it
• 0.16% found the puzzle 𝘢𝘵 𝘢𝘭𝘭
• 0.07% worked out phase 2
• 99.84% thought it was just a racing game
I mostly got complaints about 'bugs' when two sub 1 second lap times showed up on the scoreboards😅
Game stuff wot I did and forgot about🕹️
№10 - Land of the Sardine Tanks

What if you make a game that 𝘭𝘰𝘰𝘬𝘴 like a racing game, but is really a layered puzzle of exploration, time travel, & 16 Bit wonder?
Apparently only 5 out of 3000 people find most of it😅

I got no end of complaints about the maze one BTW. There's a time limit, but for the longest time nobody could work out how to get through the entrance to the finish before the timer ran down. A lot of people gave up over that one😅
November 12, 2025 at 10:48 AM
It wouldn't take much to do a PC version, actually. None of the underlying *mechanics* are complex. I'm doing 2D stuff in the Godot engine now, but converting/expanding it could be a decent exercise to learn the 3D side of the engine. Plus much needed polish - there's lots of simple stuff like this😅
November 12, 2025 at 10:43 AM
It's really the prototype of a game TBH - the first 10 rooms, chapter 1. A Proof of Concept demo, if you prefer. I didn't get round to making a full Windows version.

Have you got a Playstation?
November 12, 2025 at 10:07 AM
You had to be paying attention to see the clues, & follow them back to search for MORE hidden clues in earlier rooms. I took flak from a bunch if MIT graduates cos they claimed it was impossible & that I hadn't included an ending (no seriously) right up until somebody finished while streaming it🤣
November 12, 2025 at 1:05 AM
I'm 6 days in, so there's lots of rooms I've not drafted yet. I'm starting to see patterns though, or the shape of them. It's a bit like a game I made a few years ago - series of increasingly difficult puzzle rooms, but the *real* puzzle was hidden in plain sight across them all plus other places.

I say make him an earl AND give him an OBE.

That way he'll be an Earlobe.
November 11, 2025 at 9:44 PM
I'm not deciphering it. No hints😅
