What happens when you bring MAHA leaders together with public health leaders, and a group with seemingly opposite political affiliations? Days after the CDC attack we had honest dialogue, and moments of connection you might not expect. And I kept it ALL the way real

Grateful to the St. Louis County NAACP for the Excellence in Healthcare Award. Health is a human right. But tornado recovery delays, federal cuts, and underfunded health departments remind us how far we have to go. I build systems that serve us with dignity, and I won’t stop.

In St Louis we built real public health programs rooted in justice and community. Now federal cuts are dismantling that work. I co-authored this piece with Dr Kathleen Page to say clearly that we see what is happening and we are not staying silent.

The recent measles exposure was linked to an unvaccinated adult who was contagious while visiting.

#Measles is highly contagious—roughly 9 out of 10 unvaccinated people exposed to the virus are likely to get infected.

➡️ The good news? The MMR vaccine is safe and effective.

#Measles often begins with a high fever, cough, runny nose, & red eyes. A rash typically follows 3–5 days later, starting on the face and spreading down the body.

If you suspect any of these symptoms, we encourage you to isolate and call your doctor before arrival for testing.
