How do you find out who locally does what? Call and ask your food banks first. I also asked our local midwifery and health visiting teams. And now again I hang out in a lot of churches so YMMV, but I make a point of asking them (and finding out if strings are attached).

as a side note, a lot of food banks in the U.K.- I dunno about the USA- won’t accept or give out formula (despite the govt publishing explicit guidance that legally they can do so).

Every time I buy someone formula, I also give them info on where, locally, they can get ongoing support.

medieval medicine was actually better than people think, and it utilized a lot of herbal knowledge—much of which was lost due to political, climate, and plague devastation

herbal medicine can be infused in alcohol, so I have a theory some ancient medicine survives in amaros & sometimes go on quests

In 1290, Edward I issued an edict expelling all Jews from England, becoming the first European state in history to do so. The law was issued on the ninth of Ab, just to be an extra asshole about it, and land and property were forfeited to the crown.

judeo-christian, my ass

If you’re in line when the polls close, stay in line. You can still cast your ballot. Your vote matters.

Si vous êtes encore en file à la fermeture des bureaux de vote, restez-y. Vous pourrez quand même voter. Votre vote est important.
