🚨 Schedule 9 of Bill 5 is a game changer—and not in a good way. Special Economic Zones (SEZs) threaten our democracy, local governance, and public health. This is a dangerous precedent we cannot afford to ignore. 🧵

Bill 5 is a disaster.

In addition letting corporations ignore environmental regulations, labour laws and Indigenous consultation, Bill 5 will also let them dig up and pave over archeological sites.

Red carpet for Big Oil. Red tape for everyone else!

BC’s energy regulator is broken — and fossil fuel companies are running the show.

Time to flip the script.

Change has never come from those in power choosing to do the right thing. It’s come from grassroots organizing.

We don’t need unity or permission—we need relentless, collective action rooted in care + refusal to accept the status quo.

Honestly, I’m so over hearing we have to choose between jobs and climate. We don’t.

A real just transition means massive investment in wind, solar, batteries, and a connected power grid — not more delay and denial.
