Really can't stress enough how exciting a talent Leoni is. I can't remember the last time I saw a CB at that age bully big physical forwards with such ease.
I hadn't seen him much in Serie A - most of my limited viewing was at Sampdoria and even then it was clear he was special. But watching him

Sampdoria are my Italian team so I've seen a little of him.
I'd say better defender than a footballer. Keeps it simple, doesn't give it away but doesn't solve problems on the ball either. Dominates his physical battles and reads the game well.
