Sophomore film student at SCAD! but home is Chicago
Loud and opinionated :)
Also watched "A Complete Unknown" today. Made me think about my love for classic story telling folk, and the current artists still making that music.

Current recommendation for all: Willie Carlisle. Big fan

Followed up "The Celebration" with "The Idiots". Moved to tears and sick to my stomach. Can't think of any other movies that have shook me in quite this way.
Half of me wants to decry it as a piece of trash, worst film ever made. Half of me thinks its perfect

I don't recommend it though 📽️

First watch that blew me away so far this year. Have to watch "The Hunt" now.
Is it as good? - Another Round wasn't my favorite

I have a new favorite bad movie and I think everyone needs to watch "Hell Comes to Frogtown"

Imagine Fury Road but the forced breeding is good because the US government is behind it.
Imagine Suicide Squad but the bomb is on the penis instead of the skull.

Imagine frog people.

What a film

A half week of @oscarbate.bsky.social screenings :)

I’ve gotta take more pictures to prove things happen

I also gotta find someone else in the suburbs to go to these things with me because like I have not decompressed from Sadomania with someone. (Also Chicago highway driving :/)

Had a big theater weekend (and specifically a very Vera Drew weekend)
Thoughts and pictures in order:
1. Carnage for Christmas - Mackay’s best so far. A very well put together suspenseful horror movie while maintaining the fun campy/homemade feel
2. People’s Joker -
Old news, but one of the best of…
