I also grew up playing Quest 64, but I have fond memories of it because of the aesthetic. I can't speak for later parts of the game, but that initial first area was pretty magical to me, considering the game's reception.

I feel like I've had more bad experiences with games rather than actual consoles. I've had a few plug-n-plays that were mostly boring.
Only video game that comes to mind that's actually pretty bad in hindsight is Revenge of the Flying Dutchman. I liked it as a kid, but uh... Yeah, it's pretty bad.

The first time I tried to pre-order a game, I was denied. I was very excited about a game called Phantom Dust, so I went to GameStop and asked to pre-order it, and was told nobody else was going to try to buy it. 😂
