To be disabled is almost always to be traumatized. It’s living in a body that can’t keep you safe. It’s doctors dismissing you. It’s family and friends abandoning you. It’s living in a society that doesn’t see your value. It’s constantly having to prove your life is worth living.

Absolutely pissed that one of the dental practices that was still following airborne protections, wearing respirators, air purifiers on, have downgraded their PPE protections to baggy blues - Maygrove Dental Practice do better

Honestly, something had to happen before my last day at the workplace. It's okay though, only 24 hours left until I'm gone forever.

Looking forward to heading to the new year in a new job in a different department, away from a toxic workplace, just hoping its not the same but can never know until you are in it

Usually at work, I find it hard to have lunch, so I literally forgo not having lunch at all due to lack of safety indoors, even going outdoors to the park, despite it being way less people and barely anyone coming over, since lunch is 30 minute, I spend more time commuting than

Non disabled people see the ER as a magical place you go when you’re suffering.

They believe they will be “fixed” and sent home feeling better than before.

People like me know it’s not true. We mourn the loss of the innocence we had when we too believed the hospital was safe 🧵

As a disabled immunocompromised person - I wear a fitted respirator whenever I leave the house.

This is the best way I can “take responsibility” for keeping myself safe.

Mask bans put that safety in jeopardy.

What I want you to know about why we’re scared. 🧵

You ever find those pieces of clothing that you love, but, for some reason, you never seem to wear? There's just something about it that's slightly off?

I bought this linen-cotton dress from Dangerfield back in 2020, but have barely worn it. So I decided to fix it.✊️

So much of life is out of our control, but one thing we do have control over is opting to wear a respirator mask. Wear it for your own health, and the well-being of everyone. This simple act of awareness, kindness, and compassion can do so much. It's all benefit, and no harm.🙏🏻😷

Not a single mention of Long Covid in the Get Britain Working White Paper.

Govt still ignoring NHS staff & frontline workers, who put their lives on the line during the pandemic, now suffering with the condition.

We urgently need to recognise Long Covid as an occupational disease.
