Has any news organisation tried to contact YesMadam to verify this insane email? Most stories I've read say "this could not be confirmed independently". Then wth are you reporting unconfirmed news? This smacks of PR bs.

This photo came up on FB from a handle I do not follow. Of course Meta doesn't find targeted hate towards women problematic. Working women aren't automatically entitled to alimony in this country. It is based on multiple factors, including the judge's discretion.

That's my maternal grandma. Who in British colonised India went against her family's wishes (education was a privilege reserved for men; women were married off barely out of teens) to enroll in nursing. Was witness to Calcutta Medical College's first pediatric open heart surgery.

The fact that there aren't people pouring into the streets to protest the deaths of 10 newborn babies, burnt to death in a NICU fire in India, or even asking for the resignation of the government minister speaks volumes about the state of the country's citizens.

I don't understand this passive aggression. There are only a handful of states in India I haven't travelled to, have never faced a language barrier. For short trips no one expects you to learn local dialect, for longer stay always respectful of local communities if you pick up some
