I think Jonathan Demme's video for The Perfect Kiss shows them in the same way. They're not a bunch of cooler-than-you music gods, but some slightly self-conscious nerds in a room slowly giving themselves over to the joy of performance (in a controlled English manner, of course).

They play out the full credits in the first episode, but they play a unique short version, only a few seconds long, in each of the remaining episodes. It's nicely restrained compared to many other shows.

I think @hankgreen.bsky.social’s read on this is very good. It’s not that it was a dumb question, it’s that it immediately put Wales in a position where his integrity was being immediately questioned.
