Beth Burke is certainly only representing the American side of the CanAm Bus Council. Basically, according to her, Canada needs to give up all bargaining points ahead of negotiations and just hope the Americans are in a good mood. Forget about all the unfair sector tariffs & give up the boycotts.

Beth Burke is certainly only representing the American side of the CanAm Bus Council. Basically, according to her, Canada needs to give up all bargaining points ahead of negotiations and just hope the Americans are in a good mood. Forget about all the unfair sector tariffs & give up the boycotts.
This article is so self centered towards US that I knew immediately that it was written by an American. The idea that we would want a fighter jet that is not completely interoperable with (ie controlled by) the Americans is completely untenable to him.

On P&P today, #KarinaRoman pushed back hard against Patty Hajdu but left statements by others unchallenged. It seems that as a past union rep of CBC, she took the back-to-work order personally but wasn't willing to extend that criticism to all interviewees. I found this annoying.

@pattyhajdu.bsky.social I am watching your interview on CBC P&P. I find your comment on unpaid work not being reported naive. I worked for a consulting company where project managers would run out of hours on a project and refuse to allow people to charge to projects. Some people quit over it.

Started watching "The Truth About the Harry Quebert Affair". It lost me when the storyline wanted me to have sympathy for a man meeting an underage girl at a hotel. Maybe the plot goes in a different direction than I expect, but I can't invest time in a series that makes sympathetic a pedophile.

Has anyone else noticed that there is a lot of rage farming against Carney that is very economical with the facts? Is this from disaffected progressives who are unhappy that the government has moved to the right, or is it a foreign interference campaign designed to reduce Carney's popularity?
