Mechanical Engineer interested in many subjects especially gardening, cooking and renewable energy. #Canadian. #NeverPoilievre
It's not just us. They want the world to take their chemical, antibiotic, and hormone riddled food products.

He cancelled the consumer carbon tax. The industrial carbon tax is still in place.

I agree with your assessment of his intentions. The risk is that Danielle does not keep her side of the bargain when a pipeline doesn't materialize, and the "well is poisoned" for other developments by angering indigenous groups. I sure hope this was the right move.

I tabogganed down the side of my uncle's lawn (a short steep hill) with a neighbour and didn't check if the way was clear. She, in front, saw the flat bed trailer and ducked. I only got down partially and got a good wack on the head and a metal staple? instead of stitches. Good times! LOL

True. I was just correcting the formula.

For 3 phase power W = √3 × PF × A × V with PF (power factor) being assumed.

What about Greenland and Canada?

When I was younger I'd have serious menstrual cramps about once a year. No painkiller could touch them. The only solution to the pain was to wait till it made me vomit, after which the pain went away instantly.

Coast Guard is full MAGA.There have been cases of USCG threatening Canadian boaters who believed they were in Canadian territory. Even if they made a mistake, they were nearly capsized by reckless US actions. Canada needs to have a backup plan.

Either this was a test not an accident or the US military is very incompetent. Canadians are told our puny military wouldn't stand a chance if the US invaded us and would destroy our whole navy and air force in minutes but how if they don't even know where they are?

If you did some research, you'd know that Richard Gere was here supporting the Dalai Lama which is a cause of his. Nothing to do with Carney.

This is so depressing. I hope you are wrong.

Have you looked at the specific design requirements for solar? The efficiency of the panel operation will be so much less in winter, when there is any sun at all. Massive storage would be needed because the sun doesn't always shine. Nuclear is cleaner than diesel. Solar is great, but not by itself.

So you want to have a poor economy as revenge on the "capital class"? PP is certainly going to try to emulate Trump's politics, but he doesn't have the charisma. It was time for the country to swing to the right and it will swing back to the left, hopefully with a better economy.

In Australia, solar is available and efficient. With storage, they probably don't need much supplemental power. Northern Saskatchewan is not so lucky. In the north, many communities rely on diesel, but small nuclear reactors might be an alternative, if costly, option.

He's no where near as far right as Harper. Farther right than Trudeau, sure, but that was needed. Not everyone wanted him to be a leftist, such as myself, but people on the left are bound to be disappointed. No matter what, he would be better than Poilievre in temperament and economic knowledge.

Of course, we don't have a two party system so things worked differently. We have to worry about vote splitting.
November 7, 2025 at 1:21 AM
I don't think that's a strategy that works for every situation. In Canada, being a centrist got Carney elected when the Liberals were previously predicted to lose. But we previously had 9 years of leftist policies after 9 years of right wing policies. People are ready for moderation now.

I really liked orienteering and competed until I finished high school. Through that I met people who good friends through high school and who I remai friends with. As part the sport program I participated in a skiathon and won a pair of skis. So it had a great effect on my life.

When I was really young, baseball was the only organized sport available to me, but I did plenty of swimming and playing I the woods. When I was in grade 9 we had an outdoor phys ed program. We took orienteering, canoeing, kayaking, cross country skiing, rapelling and more.

I don't care as long as there's no urinals. Not a fan of walking in on guys when they need some privacy.
