Well the other half of their argument is that candidates who match very liberal districts make their more moderate counterparts unelectable. So instead of libbing out in the race to replace my own retiring rep these guys want me to pick a non-existent conservative option

Breaks my heart to say that the Illinois Policy Institute is fundamentally more honest about this and their vision for the state than a lot of Dem elected officials like our governor, but maybe they can afford to considering they’re never getting in the driver’s seat ever again

Abject nonsense from morons. Forget that the Illinois state constitution allows cabinet members to be dismissed at will by the governor, these people are essentially arguing that the police have no civilian oversight.
