In choosing one of the safest Conservative ridings in Canada for his byelection, Pierre Poilievre may have unwittingly set a trap for himself — one that could upend his entire political future. www.nationalobserver.com/2025/07/17/o...
Pierre Poilievre’s safe seat isn’t so safe after all
The Conservative leader clearly thinks the byelection in Battle River-Crowfoot is going to be a cakewalk. His opponents have other ideas.

CNN is reporting the FEMA response was delayed 3 days because of Noem’s cost controls, and FEMA officials were “taken aback” by how limited the agency’s response was.

This is 100% why Pierre is a danger. Right here.
Pierre Poilievre has been keeping busy, apparently, phoning up and thanking some.....interesting.....influencers.

From a woman who says it's "getting difficult not to become racist" and a man who has been fact checked by AFP, it's quite the group.

Here's what we know (and why this is a red flag):

The low turnout will force MAGA to go to great lengths to spin a clear flop as a success. Trump wanted badly for this to be a grand, raucous, March on Washington-level event and it just wasn’t close. https://trib.al/SzAGtn8
Trump’s Military Parade Was a Pathetic Event for a Pathetic President
The turnout wasn’t anything like what he wanted—and not everyone who showed up was even a fan of his.

I don't think he can get to his leadership review fast enough. This slow bleed will be bad. I almost feel sorry for PP. Almost.

I have the weirdest memory of Marc Garneau. He was President of Carleton university when I graduated. He promised every name in English, but called mine in french and spoke to me in french. Félicitations Monsieur.

Grateful to have an audience with His Majesty King Charles III this afternoon.

Tomorrow, His Majesty will deliver the Speech from the Throne, nearly 70 years after Canada’s Sovereign first opened Parliament. It is an historic honour that matches the weight of our times.
