The #dedoc° symposium at #ATTD2025 underscored the critical role of technology, community, and advocacy in diabetes care. It highlighted the disparities in access to diabetes management tools and the need for inclusive education and support systems. bit.ly/41LbFb1
#dedoc° symposium at #ATTD 2025 | What we wish you knew — and why: the diabetes patient perspective
#dedoc° symposia place people with diabetes at the centre of the conversation and allow them to present topics of high relevance to the diabetes community. Our #dedoc° symposium at #ATTD 2025 in Amsterdam, “What we wish you knew — and why”, will address the conference audience, which includes healthcare professionals, researchers and industry representatives. Attending ATTD in-person? Join us in HALL H at 14:40 CET on Wednesday, 19 March! If not, don’t worry — you can still tune into our symposium via Facebook, YouTube or our website. Our #dedoc° symposia are part of the official program of diabetes conferences, following the title “What we wish you knew — and why”. As part of our #dedoc° voices scholarship program, they place people with diabetes at the centre, allowing them to talk to the audiences of diabetes conferences, such as healthcare professionals, researchers and industry representatives, on topics relevant to the diabetes community. #dedoc° symposia take place on-site at diabetes conferences across the globe. Additionally, they are streamed live to this website, YouTube and Facebook — outside of the usual paywall of scientific conferences. This exemption allows us to invite the diabetes online community around the globe to watch and engage in real time. Find out more about our upcoming and past symposium by visiting: dedoc.org/symposium Connect with us on social media: https://www.facebook.com/dedocORG https://twitter.com/dedocORG https://www.instagram.com/dedoc_org/ https://www.dedoc.org

I am attending #DUKPC2025 as part of the #dedoc° voices programme, granting me complimentary registration to the conference.
I am keen to continue working with health professionals & allied services to enable older people like myself to ‘age well with diabetes’.

FASCINATING day yesterday at the Hyperinsulineamic Clamp Day 1 Trial for Alpha MSH.

I felt and saw some proper validation for how dynamic a person with #T1D 's glucose levels are. External factors impacting glucose levels are removed!

The supply of Fast & Ultra-Fast insulin types available on the NHS for HCL in England depends entirely on where you live despite them all being approved nationally & listed in the NICE British National Formulary (BNF). This needs to change.

It's 2025, how is this only about to be implemented??

"The checks will include blood pressure tests, redressing wounds, managing #diabetes through #insulin administration and monitoring, adjusting catheters and mental health support."

Safe quality care is urgently needed for those older people with diabetes in UK care homes. The Commission must recommend that competent, compulsory training of staff is needed now covering all aspects of this care.
