Diabetes-related stigma has repeatedly been mentioned as a challenge in diabetes care throughout this meeting. It doesn’t matter where in the world we are, #stigma negatively impacts diabetes outcomes.

Professor David O’Neal opening his session about AID in older PWD begins with a tribute to Mary Ryan who lived with T1D for over 70 years. When she was diagnosed she was told by her doctors she had 10 years max to live. This is the level of diabetes non-compliance I aspire to! #ATTDAsia24 #dedoc°
