You're not AI-Native, you're ChatGPT-native. Having AI integrated throughout your product, being a product that AI Native. doesn't mean that your entire product is a text box
There's a lot more to integrating AI than putting a textbox on every page and yeeting the prompt at an LLM to get a response

So many times I hear that as the reason for building something. I get it, its cool to build stuff, but it doesn't really add value to what you're doing.

I just wrote a 1k word article, pretty raw, in about an hour, if you asked me if I could do it, I'd say no
I think the reason I could do it in an hour is because I've spent months moaning about the topic, arguing with people, just generally thinking about it.
I dont attribute that to "the work".

After spending about 3 hours today trying to make it work, I've decided that Traefik without docker/k8s just isn't worth it
Nothing I can do seems to get it to recognize a certificate I've generated, and all the docs are focused around the usecases of acme, or k8s ingress etc
very disappointing :(

Using Aspire for workshop code is a true game changer for the attendees.
Being able to clone the repo and have ports auto-generated and connected means that we can get to the complicated stuff so much faster.

This was a tough talk to get right, and I'm not convinced @icooper.bsky.social and I got everything. At the very least, I hope it made you think about how you instrument your Event Driven Apps.

I'm not talking just about tooling though, it's about people, infrastructure resources, and general appetite to spend money.
