The former leader of Reform in Wales, Nathan Gill, has been convicted of taking bribes from Oleg Voloshyn to promote the interests of Putin - the leader Farage said he most admires.

Here’s Farage with Voloshyn’s wife.

If Gill had been a close associate of Jeremy Corbyn this might be bigger news.

A number of posts urge us to understand that not all the protesters are racist. However, if you follow the directives of those who are demonstrably and criminally racist, then you are entirely complicit, and so enabling racism to become the norm. This is EXACTLY how Naziism works.

While the Home Office wastes resources arresting people peacefully opposing genocide, the rise of the far right, fuelled by racist agitators and foreign billionaires whipping up hatred in our communities, continues unchecked.

When will the govt get their priorities in order?

540 years after the Battle of Bosworth Field, I'm pleased to announce the publication of the book and lyrics of "The Haunting of Richard the Third" as performed at Frome, Bath, Fotheringhay and Market Bosworth in 2022 &23. Good to see it enter the Amazon biographical history chart at number 6.

How @markaustintv.bsky.social on @skynewsrss.bsky.social restrained himself in the face of the endless shouting and barrage of lies and denial from the Israeli government spokesman earlier is commendable.

The Trump crisis is Shakespearean. A flawed ruler seizes the throne and does everything in his power to maintain it. Often, behind the scenes there's another, apparent ally waiting for their moment. So, watch out for JD Vance. He will be remaining quiet for now, but surely, he'll make his move.

Had Rachel Reeves shown a little more compassion for those on benefits, I might have felt more sympathy with her today. Seeing Kemi Badenoch humiliate her with such glee, however, was grotesque.

"Net Stupid Zero" yesterday! Look what it's doing to the share price in wholesale gas! Re-open the coalmines! Bring back lead in the petrol! Ban the 1956 Clean Air act!

This is insane by Yvette Cooper.

Spray-painting planes is not terrorism. Criminal damage, yes - but you cannot “terrorise” inanimate objects. It does not serve to cause terror in victims. Therefore it is not terrorism.

The authoritarian Home Secretary has lost the plot.

A fairly modest day for renewable energy today at 46% of the 60% Net "Stupid" Zero electricity production. The same day that Nigel Farage advocates re-opening coal mines. Why not go the whole hog and reintroduce lead in petrol and rescind the 1956 Clean Air Act?

This morning's £123 million fine of Thames Water is long overdue. But the truth is, as long as private companies profit while polluting our waterways, this will keep happening. Water must be taken back into public hands—for people, not shareholders.

WTF? If this Government can’t even agree to this smallest of initiatives, which has no cost to them & absolutely no down-sides, what hope that it will step up to the bigger nature challenges we face? This is a *popular* policy, for heavens sake. Obstinate tin-eared stupidity doesn’t come close …

The PM has struck a pragmatic trade deal with the US; a promising deal with India and a significant improvement on Johnson's appalling, negligent Brexit deal. If he had not chosen to echo the sentiment of Reform on immigration and been so weak on Gaza, he might have galvanised the left of centre.

If Starmer concentrates on the real problem, his concerns about economic growth and immigration would be massively reduced. Time to galvanise the left, not support the right. Get a Single Market deal now.

On VE Day we should remember that after the war, the British public voted in a radical Labour government that brought in the NHS and the Welfare State. Furthermore, following the terrible atrocities of the Far Right, Winston Churchill became an archtecht of the European Commission on Human Rights.

There are clear lessons so far - we need a fairer voting system & Labour needs a reset. Trying to out-Reform Reform doesn’t work. Instead of lurching to the right, government urgently needs to rethink its approach. It could start by addressing the genuine concerns of working people by taxing wealth

Local government is responsible for the most expensive service areas on our communities, namely adults' and childrens' social care. It has suffered a 40% loss in funding under the Tories. Reform simply has no idea.
Local government is serious business. It deserves representatives who care about the areas they represent. Greens show up, do the work, and put communities first. Reform offer slogans, not service—and no real experience at the local level to boot.

Certain students I taught would find a way to disrupt every lesson. Some were utterly self-centred and probably sociopathic.School was merely a holding pen until they were old enough for prison.
The consolation was that none of them were likely to become the most powerful person on the planet.
