While it's rare we've seen checkpoints be used to physically access and/or alter the property of human rights activists i.e. by placing hardware for audio recording etc in/on electronic devices and other personal possessions. Be cautious and careful with this. Keep eyes on your items.

Scrub your devices, if possible travel without them, and make sure you don't carry anything that can be used against you - including photos, screenshots, apps and files on your phone (deleting encrypted communication apps like Signal might be an idea).

A Brown University doctor was deported today despite a federal court order saying there was a 48hr period where the courts were to hear her case. They put her on a plane and deported her anyways. The executive branch is at war with the judiciary
