Man in Cardiff. I can’t tell you who I work for because they wouldn’t approve. And most likely, nor would you.

Who is on defined benefit schemes these days? Surely a minority of public sector workers?

They’re getting the politics of everything all wrong, why would this be any different?

I don’t have solar and my October 25 was £20 less than October 24, probably warmer in the house too. This week has been painful though, but overall as I say I think it’s worked out well for me. Should be no contest if the deck wasn’t stacked against electricity prices though as you say.

Clearly never watched Bluey.

Something has to be done about this in the budget. All we’ve seen teased though is more fossil fuel promotion (removing heat pump subsidies, additional tax for EVs…)
To give an idea of how damaging this change is, a typical dual fuel household will see their bill rise by £2.50 in January.
A household using an electric storage heater - already most at risk of fuel poverty - will see a £100 increase. That is deeply unfair and needs to be addressed

But wow, what a strange alliance. Mamdani has proved to be a canny operator but I’m intrigued to see how his rhetoric about Trump changes from here. His anti-Trump supporters will see any softening as a betrayal (which would also suit Trump).

Trump is also struggling and recognises he needs help from Mamdani. Both of them have a focus on the cost of living but Trump has singularly failed to address it (indeed his tariffs have made it worse). If Mamdani can impact that for New Yorkers, it helps Trump, a little bit.

Ohh, that’s a bad take. Assange lost any right to that kind of goodwill when he spent years hiding from a credible rape charge, and he hasn’t done anything redeeming since.

I definitely spoke too soon. Never in doubt 😉

They did it!

This is pretty big, Steam OS is great, PC games are way cheaper than consoles, and if they price the box right they will absolutely clean up. Big for Linux adoption too!
