Bonne Maman jars don't break. You can throw em on the floor and they just roll around. When you have as many as I do you want them to break. You're begging them to break. I'm sick and tired of storing leftover soup in tiny jam jars. Why won't these fuckers crack?

Kid's cups, made of plastic, are too light. They get knocked over all the time. Glass like this has a heft to it. Kids carry the liquid to their mouths with more respect, care & intention.

Bonne Maman jars are great for transitioning your toddler out of sippy cups and/or the bottle. Our first didn't even have a sippy cup stage.
