couldn’t get the motivation of characters cos of my age but that’s what hooked me.I recognised character types of Guinness,Segal,Sydow+wanted to know more.Max Von Sydow has remained my fav actor.

12 hour journey home from hols in Brittany yesterday and mistakenly gave the kids the ipad in the back of the car and asked them what film they wanted to watch…. three times in a row! 🙈

Ha! Amazing. We are in Brittany and the only way in and out of Pont Aven is a narrow single lane bridge on a via-duct with a double hair pin bend at the end 😆 I’ve only driven on the wrong side of the road once so that’s a plus!

The Christopher Reeve and Jane Seymour film Somewhere In Time had the same effect on my fascination with the uncanniness of the past and I genuinely had many dreams in the following years of travelling back into the past…

I’m currently reading it for the first time. It’s amazing and got me hooked! I’m already looking forward to re-reading it in 5 years time :)

I finished The Valkyrie audiobook and loved it :) I loved the diary style storytelling from the main two characters and the fact that the magic element was taken by the characters as another layer of politics/power to be navigated rather than some mysterious force.
